catherine smeykal
Catherine Smeykal is a Junior Architect at John Toates Architecture and Design who graduated from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Architecture with a Minor in Sustainability. She studied Urban Planning in Florence, Italy at ISI at Pallazo Ruccali and specialized in Historic Preservation and City Planning in her summer internships, one of which was at the Philadelphia City Planning Commission. In addition to Catherine’s passion for architectural history, she enjoys playing lacrosse and was Assistant Women’s Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Roger Williams University while she attended. Catherine’s leadership skills have been an asset both on and off the field, and she has made a strong addition to our team.

Catherine obtained her formal education in Architecture by concentrating on sustainability, urban planning, and historical preservation. Her understanding of responsible building was influenced both locally and abroad. Catherine contributes to our projects by helping prepare designs, completing construction documents, and assisting in the presentation of materials.
